Yesterday I watched a Christmas movie classic for the first time: White Christmas. It was a beautiful movie filled with amazing fashion. I loved the women's A-line skirts with a belt emphasizing their small waists. Vera-Ellen was my favorite actress in the film. Have you seen the movie? It's where Bing Cosby's "White Chrsitmas song originated.

Merry Christmas!

Today is Christmas Day!! Merry Christmas and Wesolych Swait!! I truly enjoyed spending time with my family yesterday and today. On Christmas Eve, we ate a delicious Polish meal called Wigilia at my grandparents' house when the first star was out. We ate, laughed, received our presents and then went to midnight mass. I wore a red dress with my pearl chain necklace, black tights and my black bow heels.

On Christmas Day, we opened our stockings, went to mass and our family came over to our house for a Christmas Day meal, followed with popcorn and Christmas movies. I wore my new navy lace dress with a big black bow, silver chandelier earrings and a black cardigan.  It was a white Christmas filled with absolute happiness. I hope you enjoyed yours as well!

Paris Outfit

I spotted this chic outfit in one of my blogs. It was shot with a sunrise in Paris and the outfit is my kind of style. The model is wearing a black Alice and Olivia top, purple Tibi skirt, Karen Walker sunglasses and black Prada Mary-Jane pumps. I also love the model's hair style. I want to learn how to style more up-do's. I would pair this outfit with glitter eye shadow for a festive, holiday look. 

What will you be wearing this Christmas? As a Polish tradition, my family will celebrate Wigilia on Christmas Eve at my grandparents' house and Christmas Day will be celebrated at my house this year. Christmas outfits will be posted. Merry Christmas!!

TBOX 2013!

Yesterday I went to Twelve Bars of Christmas (TBOX) in Chicago! It is a bar crawl where everyone dresses up in Christmas outfits. The snow was falling all day and it just made the event more festive! The outfits were amazing and I had a lot of fun. I wore a naughty/nice Santa hat with a black BCBG top, Santa skirt and black heeled boots. It was my first time going and I definitely plan on going again next year. :)

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show !!

Yesterday, I attended the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Viewing Party hosted by the Water Tower Place in Chicago. It was a blast with my friend, Mary Claire. VS Model Elsa Hosk celebrated with us as we watched the fashion show together. She answered some questions for us and was very sweet. We got popcorn and candy for showtime and received PINK dogs as well. I'm happy that I got a chance to meet Elsa and see the "sexiest night on television!"

Ballet Slippers

I'm always inspired by anything ballet-related. I actually found some "ballet slippers" that would go perfect with the bag that I want. These petal pink leather heels have a gold bow and are made in Italy. The heels could easily make my black and white outfit for work a little more me. Are you a shoe gal like Carrie Bradshaw in "Sex and the City?"

Oh Christmas Tree

Today on my day off, I watched two Christmas movies: Four Christmases and Fred Claus. I also decorated the tree at my Grandparents' house with my cousin, Natalia. It was definitely a yoga pants and Christmas socks kind of day. Sorry that I haven't been posting my regular fashion posts. I've been in the Christmas mood lately. On a fashion note; there are not a lot of shoppers at my store and it is really surprising to me since it's that time of year for wish lists. I haven't started my holiday shopping yet, but I am getting ideas of what to get my family and friends. This year, I even had a hard time making my own wishlist. I might post it on here. Stay happy this time of year. :)

"No Baggage Please"

Today I ran a few errands and finally bought some new nail polish. I ran out of my favorite Essie nail polish, "No Baggage Please" and found the last 2 in the store. I have been using the same bottle since August, so I wasn't sure if Ulta had any left in stock. Luckily, I found the last 2! It is a perfect pastel pink that is simply me and works great for work, as well. I also went to Victoria's Secret today and got a PINK dog with my purchase. It's my second one. :) The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be aired December 10 and I watch it every year. This year, The Water Tower Place in Chicago will be hosting a viewing party for the fashion show and I plan on attending it. I can't wait to see downtown Chicago at Christmastime. Happy Holidays!!

Advent Begins!

Today marks the first day of December and Advent. My favorite time of year! I plan on watching a Christmas movie every day until Christmas. Just like having a chocolate a day in my Advent Calendar. Today I watched A Christmas Story and my chocolate was a train.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with their loved ones. I had the BEST Thanksgiving ever with my family. My Uncle Peter surprised us by coming all the way from Poland yesterday! It's been 3 years since he's been here and we all have missed him so much. It was a priceless moment when he walked into my aunt and uncle's house and said, "Happy Thanksgiving!" Nothing could beat a family reunion. 

Today, I worked my first Black Friday and it was not as crazy as I thought it would be. I made some good sales and met some new and current clients. It was a fun day! Hope some of you got some great deals if you made it through Black Friday. I am thankful that I have such a great family, friends and a job that I love. I hope everyone enjoys the start of the holiday season. Did you start  decorating for Christmas yet?

I recently received a mini Loft catalog for the holidays. I found this beautiful cardigan sweater made from alpaca and lamb wool. The beige color would go with so much and I feel this sweater would be perfect for layering. I always seem to have a go-to cardigan and this could be a possible "go-to" for me. Elle: Ballet-Looks

I tore off this inspirational spread from my Elle magazine. I love ballet-inspired clothing like flats, tulle, pastel pinks and bows. This page has all the things I love; feminine and fun at the same time! I tear out pages from magazines that I put in my fashion book, wall and door. That is one reason I keep on subscribing to fashion magazines, although I do feel that magazines are becoming less popular these days. Do you still read/subscribe to magazines?

Christmas Peak

Is it too early to listen to Christmas music? I may or may not have already started. Maybe it's because we have decorations and Christmas music at work. Maybe it's because we started decorating early at my house. Or maybe it's because I have been watching old Christmas videos at my grandparents' house. Whatever it is, I am really excited. :) The Daley Plaza will be hosting it's 100th Anniversary Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 26. The Joffrey Ballet and Elf the Musical will perform. That is also when the Christkindlemarket will open! This year has really flown by, but I am happy it's getting close to the best time of the year.

Ready for Black Friday

Are you a Black Friday shopper? I sure am, but this year I will be working Black Friday instead of scoring some deals. I think the concept of Black Friday should be more for fun shopping than the pressure of finding items you "need" to buy. Every year I go shopping with my cousin, Natalia, and we always find some good Christmas gifts to start off the holiday shopping. In 2011, we shopped for 8 hours straight! This year, I plan on stopping by a few stores before or after work. I will be working from 5 a.m.-4 p.m. Hopefully I can score some good clients that day. ;) What are your plans for Thanksgiving and Black Friday?

Throwback Thursday: Red Dress

This is a throwback of me wearing my favorite red dress at Christmas 2011. I purchased this dress at Express on Black Friday 2011. Red is a perfect color to wear for the holiday season. I wore it with silver chandelier earrings, black sheer tights with a sparkle back seam and my absolute favorite black pumps with a big sparkle bow in the back. This was one of my favorite Christmas outfits I had.

Style Spotlight: Pastels

Here is a fabulous outfit I spotted on Instagram. This is model/DJ Harley Viera-Newton. I absolutely love her light blue winter coat. The style of it is laid-back, yet classy. The contrast of her blue coat with a pink bag and black underneath simply works for colder days that need a little boost of happiness. I am happy that pastel colors are in style this season, instead of only for spring. Lately, I've been loving pastel pieces at Kate Spade. What colors do you like to wear this time of year?

Fashion Read

I am currently reading Secrets of a Fashion Therapist by Betty Halbreich. The author has been a personal shopper for thirty-plus years at New York City's Bergdorf Goodman. I love reading her style advice on building a wardrobe and communicating with her clients. One tip that I picked up so far was that "building a wardrobe is like decorating a home. You do not want to buy everything in one shopping spree and call it 'done.' Your wardrobe and home should evolve with your lifestyle and the things you love and make you happy." :)

New lookout: winter coat

Today I got a chance to check out The Outnet. The site is filled with amazing clothes and accessories from designer brands, including Herve Leger. :) I even found pieces that are currently in my store. I don't know why it took me so long to check out this site. You can score some great deals for outlet prices! I also got into Etsy. At the moment, I like their fashion illustrations and greeting cards. I think I might find some great, unique Christmas gifts on both sites. What fashion sites do you follow/recommend?
