New Year's Eve

2014 has come to an end. This year has been filled with great experiences and adventures. I celebrated my 22nd birthday on the rooftop overlooking Chicago, visited Poland for my cousin Paulina's wedding, attended Lollapalooza, moved into my first apartment in Chicago, started working at Tiffany & Co. on Michigan Avenue and ended the year at Hard Rock with my best friends Mary Claire and Monika. It's been an amazing year and I can't wait to see what 2015 brings for me. Fifteen is my lucky number so I'm sure it will be a good one. :) I wish you all the best in the New Year!

'Tis the season

It's officially Christmastime in the city, my favorite time of year! After Thanksgiving dinner, my family and I started the season with some Black Friday shopping, I scored a gold iPhone 6 and some clothes. I went home to the suburbs in Algonquin and decorated the house all festive. It always feels good to be home with the family.

Today I officially started my Christmas shopping. I'm trying to get it done early to truly enjoy this time of year. Our apartment in the city is all decorated and we are watching Christmas movies every night. This weekend is TBOX  and I am so excited to go again. While I was getting my TBOX tickets, I met Santa. Fashion Forward with Garance Dore!

Last night, I attended the Fashion Forward event at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Garance Dore was honored the Fashion Inspiration Award and I am so happy I got a chance to be apart of it. I even got a chance to meet here! Ever since I started following her fashion blog, she has always been such an inspiration for me. I enjoy her fun and laid back vibe for a woman working in the fashion industry. This is Garance's first time in Chicago. She is originally from France and currently lives in New York.

The Fashion Forward event featured wearable technology installations that combined fashion and science. The way we rely on technology now, will lead to wearable technology in the future! With the use of social media, fashion has truly become instant and ready-to-wear. The event also featured Garance Dore's beautiful illustrations. I met a lot of other fashion bloggers at this event and I plan on attending more fashion events in the near future. Enjoy the pictures!

Halloween 2014

How was your Halloween weekend? My roommates and I had a Halloween Housewarming party on Saturday. We all dressed up as the four seasons! We made our own tutus for the colors of our season and it was a lot of fun to wear. I was summer. :) I wore a yellow tank, pink lei and a swimsuit with my tutu. Other fun costumes that I liked this year were Cindy Lou Who, Audrey Hepburn, Bambi and Mrs. Doubtfire. Costumes are the best when they are homemade. It's original and you won't have to worry about someone having the same costume as you. What were you for Halloween this year? Can't wait for the upcoming holidays!

Garance in Chicago!

I am so excited to write that I will be attending the Fashion Forward event at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. My favorite fashion blogger, Garance Dore, will be presented with the first ever Fashion Inspiration Award! I am looking forward to meeting her and receiving tips and advice on the fashion industry. The event will include wearable technology showcases from around the world, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. This is an opportunity I could not miss out on and cannot wait to attend. Tiffany's

My new job has been amazing to me so far! I absolutely love being on Michigan Avenue and so close to home. My commute is only 20 minutes! Tiffany & Co. and my new co-workers are making my transition easy and exciting. I'm so happy to be with a positive and helpful team. The clientele is already amazing because of  the hot spot on Magnificent Mile. I already bought my first piece: a Tiffany bow necklace of course! What do you think? Enjoy your weekend!

Channeling My Inner Audrey

Guess where I am?  Today was my first day at Tiffany & Company on Michigan Avenue! I am now a Fashion Sales Professional and I couldn't be happier. :) This was meant to be for my transition to the city. Tiffany's has always been a dream shopping destination of mine and now I work there. I'm really channeling my inner Audrey Hepburn! I guess dreams really do come true. Last Day at HL

Today was my last day at Herve Leger. It's bittersweet, but my year there has been amazing for me and now I am on to my next opportunity.  I have been getting ready for my new job and treated myself to a manicure/pedicure, hair cut/color, eyebrows waxed and shopping. I start my new job on Monday and I will announce where I will be! :) I am truly happy to begin my next step in my fashion career.

Tomorrow my sister runs the Chicago Marathon (26.2 miles)! I will be cheering her on and joining her for a run towards the end of the race. Good luck Sylvia!!
