1 Year at Herve!

Today marks my one year anniversary at Herve Leger! I can't believe it's already been one year at my favorite place. I couldn't ask for a better store for high fashion in the suburbs. Right now as I am planning my move to the city, I am looking to transfer to another store location. No matter where the city takes me, I will always remember my first high-fashion job! :)

Spotted: My Pink Beau Bag

Looking through my fashion blogs today led me to Pink Peonies. She's a blogger who shares the same feminine, girly style as me. She also owns my pink Kate Spade Beau Bag! I got so excited when I saw my bag on a fashion blog for the first time. I still love my bag since the day I got it. I like the way Rachel wears hers with distressed denims, a flowy pastel top and her heels! They are the same color as the bag and reminds me of the saying, "your shoes should match your bag." She wears it so well and has inspired me to wear my bag with a casual outfit like hers. Where do you find outfit inspirations?

Herve Leger Booties

I made my first purchase at Herve Leger yesterday: black leather "Lilah" booties!! They were actually the first shoes I tried on when I started working at Herve Leger and I have loved them ever since. We have a huge shoe sale at our store so now was the perfect time to purchase them. I'm moving into the city in September and I know these will be perfect for nights out in Chicago. They easily work with dresses as they do with a pair of skinny jeans and a dressy top/moto jacket. Check out the styles I paired them with from Herve Leger. They give my girly, classic style an edge. What do you think?

Lollapalooza 2014!

This year was my first time attending Chicago's Lollapalooza and it was a blast!! The crowd was insane and I had an amazing time with my friends. The festival went from August 1-3 and I attended the last day: Sunday Funday!  My favorite artists of the day were Sebastian Ingrosso, Skrillex and GTA. For our outfits, Joslyn and I made tie-dye shirts and wore flower crowns. Even though it rained a whole lot making it super muddy as we danced, we enjoyed the entire day! We stayed overnight with Sylvia at Fairmont Hotel and had a delicious breakfast to wake up to. This was one of the best days of summer. :)

Summer Days

Today I met up with Mary Claire and Monika! Mary Claire just got back from Italy and she got us matching shirts, a beautiful wristlet and cookies from Italy. I absolutely loved it when I visited Italy 2 years ago and I'm so happy she got a chance to go. She even learned how to make Tiramsu, my favorite! We've been hanging out a lot this summer and I can't believe how fast summer is flying by. I've been working at Herve Leger, doing Pilates, running, reading and catching up with friends as much as I can.

I am planning on moving to Chicago by the end of summer and am really looking forward to it. I can't wait to live the city life and see what else it out there for me. Hope you all are enjoying your summer and making the most of these beautiful days.

Work that Bun

It is officially summer in Chicago!! So lately, I've been loving an up-do bun and I feel now is the perfect time to wear one. Not only for the humidity, but also for a really polished look for going out and even work. I'm so used to having my hair down so this is definitely a new look for me to love. It's definitely a good way to show more of your face, makeup and accessories! What's your favorite summer hairstyle?

A Day in the City

Over the weekend, I went to Chicago with my best friend. We had a delicious breakfast at Brunch, went shopping and enjoyed a beautiful day downtown. One of my shopping purchases was a Kate Spade bow bracelet. I absolutely love it and it even matches my bow bag! I wore my favorite beige trench coat with a black lace belt, skinny jeans, flats and my bow bag.
