NEXT Fashion Chicago
Last week (Oct 4-11) was Chicago Fashion Week. I attended the NEXT Fashion Chicago event on October 7 at Block Thirty Seven. The fashion show reminded me of an underground runway featuring up and coming designers from the Chicago area. It was an amazing show with looks that I could see myself wearing. The DJ brought the models to life with music that made you want to walk on the runway with them, Joslyn and I enjoyed ourselves for our first Fashion Week experience. New York Fashion Week is next on my list.

Lollapalooza Weekend!
Lollapalooza was another highlight of summer 2015. I attended the three day festival (July 31-Aug 2) with Joslyn, Mary Claire her sister, Megan. We had an amazing time singing, dancing and enjoying summertime weather. My favorite artists included DJ Snake, Dillon Francis, Alesso, The Chainsmokers, Galantis and Nicky Romero. The fashion was very 80's inspired with lots of rompers, crop tops, high waisted shorts, Hawaiian shirts and even fanny packs!

My Paris Trip
I had the time of my life on my trip to Paris with Joslyn last month. We stayed in Paris for an eventful week. My favorite things we did were visit the Eiffel Tower (of course), Arc de Triomph, Notre Dame, Louvre, Versailles, attend a Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at Grand Palais, shop at the original Chanel store, watch a Moulin Rouge show and breakfast at Laduree. I snapped a few outfit pictures of the Paris style. My favorite purchase was a pair of Chanel heels! When in Paris, you must go shopping. I can definitely see myself living and working there. It's such a beautiful city that's full of life. This has been my favorite trip thus far!

Chicago style.
Yesterday was a big night for Chicago. The Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup! The city is so proud and excited for a home win this year. I'm so happy to be living in the city right now. :)
My trip to Paris is a week away and I cannot wait! I've been going on a few shopping sprees for the trip. My outfits are consisting of lots of dresses and bows. I'm so excited to visit the fashion capital of the world with my best friend, Joslyn!
Today I found out that I passed my Pop Pilates video evaluation! It's something I have been working on the past few months so I'm happy to accomplish a big part of my certification. Thank you for supporting me in my journey to become an instructor.
Summer is almost here and warm weather calls for care-free, fun outfits. I'm going to be posting more outfit pictures for my first summer living in the city. Stay tuned!

Milano Surprise
I just got back from a surprise trip to Milan, Italy! Sylvia got us tickets to New York for my birthday, but the final destination was... Milan!! I was completely surprised and blessed to be able to go back to Italy and visit one of the fashion capitals of the world. Spontaneous trips like these make them the most worthwhile and enjoyable.
The days were spent exploring Piazza Duomo, climbing Milan Cathedral, shopping at Via Monte Napoleone and eating at cafes while people watching. Milan definitely has great style. The men and women were always dressed up to and from work. Men wore their fitted suits, ties and shades while walking or biking to work. Women wore heels with their blazers and skirts and switched to jeans after work. It goes to show how easy a blazer transitions from day to night. I spotted a few ladies with heels while riding their bike. I truly loved Milan's dedication to fashion.
